Scaffolding for New Build Homes in Kent & South East London
Scaffolding for new build homes and self-build projects across Kent and South East London. All phases from brickwork through to roofing and completion.
Scaffolding for new build homes
Building a new home — whether as a self-builder, a small developer or a homeowner commissioning a replacement dwelling — requires scaffolding at multiple stages of the construction process. From the initial brickwork through to the roof, the scaffold needs to be designed to support each phase of the build and adapted as the work progresses.
We work with self-builders, small developers, architects and main contractors on new build home projects across Kent and South East London. We understand the programme requirements of new build construction and the importance of having the scaffold ready when each trade needs it.
This page covers scaffolding for individual new build homes and small residential developments. For larger developer projects, see our dedicated page for scaffolding for developers.
Scaffolding phases for a new build home
A new build home typically requires scaffold at several distinct phases of construction. We plan the scaffold programme from the outset to ensure the scaffold is in place when each trade needs it.
Brickwork and blockwork phase
Scaffold for the brickwork and blockwork phase of the build, providing safe working platforms at each lift as the walls rise. The scaffold is adapted as the walls reach each storey.
Roof structure phase
Scaffold for the roof structure phase, providing safe access for the carpenter or timber frame erector. The scaffold is designed to support the roof structure during erection.
Roofing phase
Full roof access scaffold for the roofing contractor, providing safe working platforms, edge protection and ridge access for tile or slate laying.
External finishing phase
Scaffold for external finishing works including rendering, cladding, window installation and external decoration. The scaffold may be adapted or partially struck as each trade completes.
Chimney and stack phase
Chimney scaffold for the bricklayer and roofer to complete the chimney stack, flashing and pot installation.
Final completion
The scaffold is struck on completion of all external works. We will agree the striking programme with you and ensure the scaffold is removed promptly to allow the site to be cleared.
